lcc theatre company

Marvin Araiza

Generation 26
Year: 3rd
Major: Korean
Why did you join LCC?
I have always known I wanted to act. I grew up being that annoying kid that bothered their parents to take them to LA for commercials and stuff like that (lol). My parents, being Mexican immigrants, would always tell me to give it up. They wanted me to look for a stable career path, it hurt but I knew they only cared for me. I decided to let the idea go, but that desire to be on stage remained. I participated in church plays for as long as I could until my senior year of high school where I got to be part of the Calexico High School Theater Company. The moment I stepped on stage... it changed it all for me. It was not Marvin anymore, it was whoever I was portraying. I felt free, I felt at home; I knew it was where I belonged. Being part of LCC makes my biggest dreams a reality and best of all, I get to be part of such a talented and loving theater family.
